Our hotel "Neustädter Hof" looks back on a history of now more than 100 years. The hotel, built in 1910 in the classical style, is located in Schwarzenberg in the Ore Mountains and extends in front of the river behind it, the "Blackwater". After completion, the hotel was initially managed as a family business with 30 guest rooms and a restaurant, and soon gained its good name in hospitality and entertainment. Many events, especially in the summer in the beer garden, were a magnet for visitors. The bus stop, already at that time in front of the door, made an accessibility by public transport always easy.

After the second world war...

...the building was then used as a residential and office building of the washing machine factory as well as a canteen kitchen and training center. Due to the reunification of the Federal Republic of Germany with the German Democratic Republic and the resulting departure of many companies as well as the decline of the washing machine factory, the building stood empty.

1992...

...the house was sold by the city to an investor duo. The aim was to preserve the historic appearance of the listed building, but to create a modern and unique hotel for the region and to revive the original long tradition of the house! In the course of the complete renovation that was taking place and the ever-increasing number of tourists in the region, the original building was extended with an annex for additional rooms and conference rooms and equipped with modern facilities. The historical facade of the building was preserved and the extension was placed at the back of the building, so that from the front the extension is hardly visible. Today, the hotel has 75 single and double rooms in various categories, as well as apartments and suites. Of course, the popular restaurant "Valentin" from his time with beer garden directly on the "Schwarzwasser" is still there! Furthermore, the hotel has from this time 3 differently designed conference rooms, a winter garden and a hotel bar "Blauer Salon".

1995...

...the hotel was able to reopen on May 5th after a 3-years renovation period. The executing construction companies handed over the symbolic key to the builders during a ceremony.

From that moment on, the hotel was once again open to the people of Schwarzenberg and the public.

2019...

...the hotel was sold to the current private operator couple. In the course of the sale, minor beautification work was tackled and further modernization processes were initiated. For example, the fitness area was removed from the existing sauna area. A new fitness room with a relaxation balcony was created. The small but fine wellness area with sauna and whirlpool was redesigned, giving it a completely new charm that invites you to relax and unwind. The new lounge area built in July 2019 as part of the beer garden gives additional space for relaxation. Thus, the tradition from 1910 will live on in the future!
